Cancellation Policy
Harris Counseling requires at least 24 hours of notice for any cancellations of therapy sessions. If this notice is not provided, clients may be subject to the full session fee of $175. The only exception to this policy is hospitalization, which is recognized as a valid reason for cancellation.
Safety Policies for Virtual Therapy
All of our sessions will be conducted virtually. As such, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are in a safe and confidential location with and appropriate and functioning technical setup to allow us to conduct our sessions.
Safety: Please ensure your physical safety during our sessions. This includes ensuring that you are not driving or participating in a session in any what that may be hazardous to your health.
Confidentiality: Because confidentiality is so important to our process, please ensure that you are participating in our session from a private place where there are reasonable expectations of privacy.
Technical Setup: Because there is a wide range of possible technological setups that will work for our sessions (e.g. home computer, mobile devices, etc) it is your responsibility to ensure that your equipment is functional, that there is adequate internet bandwidth, etc in advance of our sessions.
It is the discretion of the therapist to cancel or postpone sessions where any of these criteria are not adequately met. You may be responsible for the full cost of your session should your therapist need to reschedule/cancel your session.
